Happy Xmas, MR Wong. I'm going to invest in a couple of timeform in running cards on Boxing Day. See if they make my life a bit easier though to be honest, I need to watch the race rather than the prices on the computer. A long journey ahead of me yet!

Hi Mr Wong

Thanks for answering my previous question.

Just another quick question, if I may. What are your thoughts on the strategy some people use of laying the field? Do you think it can be profitable on some tracks, and if so what odds would you use?

Thanks in advance and have a Merry Christmas!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
i don't do laying the field, but one trader in Highgate sometimes does it, and he set the prices at 1.15 and stake at £1000.
Hi John,
good luck to your challenge, i am sure you can make it.
give us a visit whenever you are in London,
regards
Ming

Hi Mr Wong

Firstly, Happy New Year!

Does the trader in Highgate lay all races, or just certain tracks or race types?

Regards

Jeff

Hi jeff,
Lay the field works better on competitive races, races that produes close finishes involving three or more horses. So flat races like 5f,6f sprint are the races to focus on if you want to try. Than again, in-running players are getting better these days, you might end up laying the winner only.
good luck
